The Wonderful Uses of the Tea Tree

Knowing God

By Xiaocao

My hometown abounds with tea oil, and the green tea trees cover the mountains and plains. The seeds of the tea tree can not only produce edible oil, but also bring our life some help and benefits.

In my childhood, once when I fell down accidentally and my knees were excoriated shedding blood, my mother took out a bottle of something like tea and applied some to my abrasion. In a moment, the blood stopped bleeding and my knees were not painful gradually. It helped so much, and I asked my mother what it was, then my mother told me it was tea tree oil. I thought within: Isn’t tea tree oil used to cook dishes? Can it be used as medicine? How valuable it is! After I got married, I planted tea trees personally and discovered more uses of the tea tree oil.

In the spring, my husband and I planted some tea saplings on the hill. The next summer, those tea saplings grew taller. Once, when my husband and I hoed them, my fingers were cut by a billhook and the wound bled profusely. I felt very pain, but there was no hemostatic on the hill. I was worried and didn’t know what to do. My husband said: “Don’t worry. I have an idea.” With that, he scraped some cortexes from a tea sapling with a billhook and put them on my fingers. Shortly, the blood stopped bleeding and the ache in my fingers gradually abated. I was surprised that not only could tea tree oil stanch bleeding and relieve pain, but the cortexes of the tea tree also had these effects. The every part of the tea tree is useful.

One day, my husband said to me: “Xiaocao, now the field haven’t been seeded, and we can net some fish to eat in the field.” I walked as I said: “The water in the field is so deep, and how to net fish?” Following him to the field, I saw lots of loaches and ricefield eels floated on the water. I was so happy, and meanwhile confused, asking him what had happened. My husband said that he had distributed some tea seed cakes into the pond in the morning, which could be used to rid ponds of predatory fish and insects, so the loaches and the ricefield eels were killed. But those dead fish were innocuous, and their meat would be safe to eat for us, as the tea seed cake was a natural insecticide. Besides, the tea seed cake could also be distributed onto fields and serve as fertilizer. I was astonished and thought deeply: How many mysteries does the tea tree have that are unknown to me?

Once, I heard my neighbor say that his grandson had skin disease, and then had injections and took many medicines but the disease hadn’t taken a turn for the better. Someone told him a way—Boil tea leaves in water, pour the tea water into the bath water, and then use the water to take a bath. In this way, his grandson’s skin disease cleared up. Hearing this thing, I knew that tea water could not only kill bacteria and relieve itching, but also cure skin disease. Afterward, I heard another friend say that her tuberculosis was cured by tea oil. She continued saying that when she was a child, her scalp was covered by pieces of tinea. Having injections and taking medicines had some effect on it, but after a period of time, she suffered a relapse. Every year it would cost her family much money, but her disease couldn’t be fully cured. Later, someone told her mother a secret recipe: soaking the ginger in the tea oil, putting them in the pot to steam, and then spreading the tea oil on the scalp. Using this recipe, after a while, she completely recovered from the tinea, and broke away from the chronic illness and pain. I have seen many people used the stalks of the tea tree to make handles of sickles, hoes, choppers and other kinds of farm tools, for the stalk is hard and the handle made by the stalk is not easy to fall off; as the stalk of the tea tree is hard, it is the best stuff to be used as charcoal; the shucks of the tea seeds can be used as fuel, so that the fire won’t quench easily. We have really gained too many benefits from the tea tree, and who gives the tea tree so many wonderful uses? It was not until I believed in God and read God’s word that I knew the origin of the wonderful uses of the tea tree.

God says: “In terms of food sources that sustain the lives of mankind’s physical bodies, God has made very precise, very accurate, and very appropriate preparations, so that people’s lives are rich and plentiful and not lacking in anything. This is something that people can feel and see. Additionally, God created among all things some plants, animals, and various herbs that are specifically meant to heal injuries or treat illness in the human body. What should someone do, for instance, if they are burned, or accidentally scald themselves? Can you just rinse the burn with water? Can you just wrap it up with any old piece of cloth? If you do that, the wound might fill with pus or become infected. If someone gets a fever, for instance, or catches a cold; suffers an injury while working; develops a stomach ailment from eating the wrong thing; or develops certain diseases caused by lifestyle factors or emotional issues, including vascular diseases, psychological conditions, or diseases of the internal organs, then there are corresponding plants that cure their conditions. There are plants that improve blood circulation and remove stagnation, relieve pain, stanch bleeding, provide anesthesia, help heal the skin and return it to a normal condition, and disperse stagnant blood and eliminate toxins from the body—in short, these plants have uses in daily life. People can use them, and they have been prepared by God for the human body in case of need. God allowed man to discover some of them by happenstance, while others were discovered by people whom God chose to do so, or as a result of special phenomena He orchestrated. Following the discovery of these plants, mankind would pass them down, and many people would come to know about them. God’s creation of these plants thus has value and meaning. In summary, these things are all from God, prepared and planted by Him when He created mankind’s living environment. They are essential” (“God Himself, the Unique VIII”).

After reading God’s word, I understood that all of the wonderful uses of tea trees are from God. God created all things, prepared everything for mankind’s existence, and supply mankind’s needs. God not only prepared necessary daily food for mankind, but also in advance prepared all sorts of plants to resolve harm and diseases which human will maybe get in their life. Furthermore, He enlightened people to discover their uses, so that we get them to cure our illness and sustain our body’s health. God is very thoughtful about our survival, and also prepared everything for our survival, so that we have an inexhaustible supply, which is a reflection of God’s authority and power, and even more God’s love to human. Formerly, I didn’t know the mystery of God creating tea trees, and just thought the tea tree produces tea oil which can only be used to cook dishes. Through seeing and benefiting from them on my own, I have known that the tea tree has too many uses. The tea tree oil not only fulfils our needs in daily food, but also gives us help and benefits at any time when we suffer injuries and diseases; the tea-tree branches can be used as manure and also be used to net fish; the stalks of the tea tree can be used to make handles of farm tools; the shucks of the seeds can be used to keep warm. All things God created are perfect and marvelous, and have their own particular uses and value, which is the manifestation of God’s authority and is His wondrous deeds, and they are prepared for human’s best life by God.

Through experiencing, I have seen the authority and wondrous deeds God created all things, and have felt God’s love to human is too true. Only God silently and selflessly provides us and allows us to enjoy the abundance from Him. He doesn’t take credit for human and doesn’t demand any repay from human. Only God is possessed of such good and beautiful substance. Only God cherishes, shows concern for, and looks after us. He is worthy to be worshiped and praised by mankind. I am willing to worship and praise God forever!
